It's a good thing that it doesn't just appear sloppy. It also feels quick. The engine is smooth, powerful and its 332lb-ft of torque arrives with little fuss below 1,750rpm. It's also well matched with the smooth-shifting, six-speed automatic transmission. It's a pity that the GP Unique doesn't have a manual option however Mini is clear about its emphasis on lap times, and an auto is definitely the best option here.
There are some flaws. For starters the GP Unique's damping system is firm but uninvolving. If you drive on a smooth straight B road the chassis' dynamic limits are easily pushed, but it is difficult to maintain fluidity with your inputs. The front end can become a little snatchy and the car struggles when under the strain of irregular British bumps.
Fortunately the GP Unique's handling is excellent when you dial it in. Its front and body control remind us of the JCW racecar we drove last year. When you're on a slippery surface and when you're in a spirited mood, it's a true pleasure to drive.
The car's chassis also feels very different to that of the standard MT-09, thanks to the fact it has more torsional stiffness and bigger axles. The new GP's 24.7 degrees of rake, and 108mm trail, feel more on the nose compared to the R6. But it also translates to amazing stability when turning.
Another great feature of GP is the PO Generator module. This lets you examine your inventory levels as well as the min/max levels you've set for each item as well as any open POs from your vendors (ie more inventory is on the way) and then generate an order list of purchase orders suggested that you can send off to your suppliers.

It was extremely accurate in terms color with an DeltaE of just 2.3, which is excellent. It also exhibited superb grayscale performance with clean and distinct shades. The GP500 displayed subtle rainbow colors while watching the Adam Project. These were very easy to spot but they did not annoy viewers and did not affect the viewing experience.
The sound quality is remarkable. The GP500 features an independent DSP chip with treVolo Psychoacoustic Tuning which produces 3D audio effects. It is equipped with an internal quad-speaker layout which is located at each corner of the cabinet. The GP 900
Sceptics will argue that the GP is just a naked XSR900 sporting a Wayne Rainey frock, but the truth is that Yamaha's engineers have worked hard to create a heartfelt and powerful tribute to its sporty heritage. The GP's brand-new Deltabox frame and swingarm are 55mm wider, but are much more compact in corners due to the altered chassis geometry. In addition, a fully-specified 6-axis IMU offers a variety of electronic riding aids to the platform, and KYB suspension is upgraded with a bigger front fork and a larger wheelbase.
